Being an education practitioner for 7 years ranging from nursery age to EYFS through to KS2, education and learning opportunities are second nature to me. The importance of learning and enabling the best possible development for our children is a key priority of mine. Which is why all sessions are carefully planned and thought out with fun and development in mind.
Sessions recommended for 4 months plus however would be enjoyable for any age.
Sensory development

Whether it is watching bubbles float, feeling different textures or tasting new foods, sensory play has many benefits.

Sensory can encourage exploring new and different tastes and textures when it comes to food.
Social development

Fine and gross motor skills

Sensory play helps build nerve connections in brain pathways, which can aid completion of complex tasks.
Through tactile play, your child builds on their ability to use small muscle groups and coordinate movements. Whether it’s improving fine motor skills through using a pinch grasp, pouring cups or mixing with utensils, there are many fun ways to allow your baby to explore freely the sensory contents that are age appropriate and safe.
Tummy time, sitting, rolling, crawling and walking- activities that require gross motor skills. Observing others completing tasks and skills they are yet to accomplish will motivate and positively encourage.
